Description Mathieu Saby 2013-09-28 21:40:41 UTC
In advanced search, location is handled like author, titles, subjects, etc.
But location index contains coded information (mapped with authorized value), so it should be searchable in a better way, by choosing some locations in a list of available locations.

Hi Mathieu, you can already do that using the AdvancedSearchTypes system preference. I think we should remove location from the pull down.

Hi Katrin
I did not check the syspref ;-)
All I know is that it is unneeded in the pulldown.

By the way, a way to defining the indexes to display in the pulldown on advanced and simple search (on staff and opac) could be interesting too. I know it could be done in jquery, like other stuff, but I would prefer a config page.

I agree it would be nice - lots of people here are complaining about "Curriculum" - the problem is the usual: translatability.
