Description Chris Cormack 2010-05-21 01:07:28 UTC

---- Reported by mjr@ttllp.co.uk 2009-05-05 11:20:06 ----

Librarians cannot login to staff interface with cardnumber, only with the OPAC login. From the name (*OPAC* login) and the occasional fall-back to cardnumber in C4::Auth, I suspect this may be a mistake.

If it isn't a mistake, please reassign this bug to the Documentation: https://sites.google.com/a/liblime.com/koha-manual/Home/Table-of-Contents/Patrons/patrons-adding-staff-patrons should be updated to make it clear that cardnumber cannot be used to login to the staff client.

I have marked this bug minor because the workaround is to use the OPAC login instead of the cardnumber.

---- Additional Comments From chris@bigballofwax.co.nz 2009-05-13 08:53:42 ----

I managed to login fine using the cardnumber and password in the latest version of the code in head.

---- Additional Comments From mjr@ttllp.co.uk 2009-05-15 12:28:04 ----

The close message refers to "latest version of the code in head" while my report was to rel_3_0 (not head).

Secondly, I've retested and still get "Error: Unauthorized userclick to log out" with cardnumber but not with OPAC login.

I'm having a hopefully-unrelated problem with KOHA_DEBUG and will provide more information once I crack it.

This works in master, and rel_3_0 will not be updated again.
