Description Kelly McElligott 2023-06-12 15:54:57 UTC
A library would like to be able to integrate electronic signatures into Koha. This could be a way that the patron could sign digitally and this signature would be captured in Koha.

+1 The ability to store patron's electronic signatures in their account would be very useful to us!

I'm wary of this one.

At least in Australia a person's signature is personal information (https://www.oaic.gov.au/privacy/your-privacy-rights/your-personal-information/what-is-personal-information), and it's important to only collect personal information that is necessary for the organisation's functions/activities.

In this case, what would be the purpose for collecting and storing this information? Would it be to prove that they've signed a membership agreement?
