Description Paola Rossi 2014-05-14 13:18:13 UTC
I add an order to a basket "from an empty record". Koha says:
"No ACQ framework, using default. You should create a framework with code ACQ, the items framework would be used".
I continue and I create an item without barcode, because in that framework 952$p is not mandatory.
But an item without barcode gives many problems on Circulation.

Hi Paola, you can circ items without barcodes now using a new system preference itemBarcodeFallbackSearch.

There are some use cases I can think of, where items won't have a barcode - like serial issues that won't be circulated until bound into a volume or items added for electronic resources.
