Well have to track back and make sure this is the case in the supported distros (Ubuntu 14.04LTS, Wheezy, and Jessie) too. But even if it's not, doing an 'or' dependency is trivial. So yeah, important. At least, important before the next Debian release so we have a year or two :) In trying to set up a test server with Plack (on Ubuntu 15.10 given that 14.04 doesn't have Apache 2.4.10), koha is uninstallable. The package apache2-mpm-itk, has been removed. Yes, Debian may still work for the next year or more, but without a fix Koha will be broken on the next Ubuntu LTS (16.04) this April. Not supporting Ubuntu would certainly be a serious problem. Perhaps this might suggest an expedited fix. Perhaps a reminder that the next Ubuntu LTS is due out in less than 3 months, and Koha will be broken on that platform unless the dependency issue is fixed. Perhaps we could get this patched and signed off before then? Created attachment 47630 [details]
Patch to control.ini to add or dependency to libapache2-mpm-itk
This patch fixes the dependency problem by adding libapache2-mpm-itk as an or dependency for apache2-mpm-itk. Switching to needs signoff. Please undo if it is not ready for testing. Confirmed that koha-common does not install on Ubuntu 16.04 nightly build. This corrects that. Comment on attachment 47630 [details]
Patch to control.ini to add or dependency to libapache2-mpm-itk
This wasn't uploaded as a patch. I corrected that.
I am attempting to test this. Had my first failure, but I've got other ideas to try first. (In reply to M. Tompsett from comment #10) > I am attempting to test this. No. It didn't seem to work, and I didn't feel like pursuing it further.
