If we're going to use "on shelf" instead of "available," then not for loan items should be counted as "on shelf." Currently the search results page shows them as unavailable

Owen, can you clarify this, I'm not any display that has an 'on shelf' view.

I think owen means that, on OPAC, a "not for loan" item can be displayed as :
"available, not for loan", which is confusing for patrons (and we have the same problem with french !)

So, if I understand well, owen suggest just to write "On shelf" instead of "available".
then we would have "on shelf, not for loan".
this is a great idea, and the french translation will be very happy with that !
