Another update on this. The enhancement request is still valid. Wherever you create your items (order/receive) there is no way to use the quantity field to determine how many item forms show up. You have to use the + sign. *** Bug 7229 has been marked as a duplicate of this bug. *** Updating the title because this is an issue in different places depending on where you have the item record. I'd like to move that this is not an enhancement, but a bug. For big libraries that order 150 copies of a book this is unwieldy. You should be able to type 150 in the qty box to generate the 150 items. It doesn't seem like a hard thing to fix and I do think it's a bug - or a huge oversight to think that having to click 150 times is reasonable. The possible enhancement bit is that when you type 150 in the qty box the items should just be duplicates of the first one - so that you don't have to edit 150 items either. Nicole One way to do it for big libraries is to create the items in cataloging. I think for ordering that many items this might be the best way to do it. There is a bug now for dealing with this on ordering bug 14752 - adding as see also. We have different options here now when ordering a big amount of items: - Choose to create items in cataloguing on basket level - Choose to create all 150 items at once using the 'add multiple items' option either on order or receive |
