If a patron modifies an already submitted opac request, staff are not alerted in any way. Please ensure that staff are informed or disable the modification functionality in the opac until such time as this can be facilitated.

Staff should be alerted, by e-mail and by an alert status/list when they log in when a patron has modified a request. If this is not possible the option should be there to turn off this functionality.

Changes need to be notified to staff so that the correct materials are sourced and duplicate requests and request costs are not incurred by the library.

Incorrect requests may be submitted, then modified. Staff may have already processed the request for the first request, thus increasing the workload for the staff member, and necessitating the processing of essentially a second request and the encumbrance of the associated fees.
