Currently, for a hold expiration date to be changed, it would need to happen from the Item's Record (Hold), or the patron themselves can edit/add an expiration date. It would be nice to be able to add/edit an expiration date to the patron's hold from their Holds Summary on the Patron detail page.

This would save front-line staff a lot of time when helping a patron at the service desk. Less clicks & page loads = faster service = happier patrons.

+1

This would be really useful.

When Bug 8030 introduced changing pickup location from the patron record, it really sped things up for the staff. I think this would have a similar impact on front line staff.

This development would also tie in nicely with Bug 33570 - the ability to then print the updated slip from the patron record.
