I like this idea generally, but I'd prefer a method to define fields as desired, rather than a set number of fields -- something more like a patron attribute rather than something like sort1/sort2. In fact, could we make this an option on patron attributes? A checkbox in attribute setup for something like "Show in housebound." If that's checked, this attribute shows in the housebound module rather than in the usual place? Interesting idea. This will work for some of the information we want to associate with our housebound patrons but there are other bits of information that we aren't saving anywhere else like the quadrant of the city the person lives in. For these extra things we would like a few fields that we can define as we need. |
