Hi JaTara, can you explain your use case a bit? If a patron list is shared, it can be used by others, but probably only still be deleted by the creator of the list. I am not sure if a superlibrarian should be able to interfere here, as these lists could be considered personal, like the entries of a cart or a list of bibliographic records. I currently have 3 patron lists in our system and I don't know which of our 80+ staff member(s) created it, nor is there an easy way of finding out. Also, if one of those staff members resigns / retires without deleting the patron lists they've created, then we're potentially left with a bunch of lists that literally no one is able to delete. If the patron account of the staff member is deleted, the patron lists will be deleted with their other account information automatically. I agree with JaTara. A superlibrarian should be able to delete patron lists. We at the central site for our network can not see who created the list so we're unable follow up with the staff person. Superlibrarians should be able to clean these up without having to rely on the original creator. Also, I know we could create a report but it would be nice to not have to do that, thanks! Just going to add my support that superlibrarians should be able to clean up patron lists. Additionally, I think the lists should persist past the user being deleted since we use them for setting permissions. If I ever leave, someone needs to rebuild those from scratch. I think 34977 has fixed this - as a superlibrarian I can see the lists created by others, and check the box to delete them. I do not have the option to delete a single list from the actions button, but can clean them up by selecting the checkboxes |
