Many thanks to Andrew for adding to Bugzilla! Yes, something like this would allow us to add "local practice" notes to help guide our staff as they're using the system... putting info where they need it. We don't have super JS skills on staff, so an interface to add tool tips easily would be lovely. |
On my system, I've used jQuery to insert an icon with a title attribute so that when the icon is moused-over it gives a bit of explanatory text. For example: $('#navmenulist ul li a:contains("View dictionary")').append(' <i class="fa fa-info-circle" title="No one knows what this is for"></i>'); It could be helpful to have an interface for this, something along the lines of how we define audio alerts: - provide a jquery selector - select a font awesome icon - provide text - when a page loads containing your selector, your icon is appended to it with your text appearing on mouseover
