Description Lucas Gass (lukeg) 2025-04-17 16:03:54 UTC
On acqui/booksellers.pl if you have inactive vendors, they show by default. Some would like an option to hide the inactive vendors by default with the option to toggle/display inactive ones.

Maybe we don't a sys pref. Use localStorage maybe?
Comment 1 Christopher Brannon 2025-04-17 22:05:44 UTC
Would like to see a sys pref for desired default. jQuery is not cutting it for this.
Comment 2 Esther Melander 2025-04-18 15:23:51 UTC
Not sure if this is a duplicate, but this could be similar to Bug 37677?
Comment 3 Christopher Brannon 2025-04-18 15:57:53 UTC
Not quite the same. That bug adds a new layer to vendors (it seems to imply a new archive function, not replacing inactive vendors). I could be misinterpreting it though.

This bug simply asks that we have an option for the default display of inactive vendors.

Would the inactive vendors still be shown in a search? If so we'd love to see this happen - we have thousands and would like to weed them out as a default display.
Comment 5 Christopher Brannon 2025-04-18 20:57:18 UTC
To my knowledge, this request would simply make the table hidden by default. It would have no impact on searching. You can still see inactives in the dropdown in the results, and by clicking the link to show inactive.
Comment 6 Lucas Gass (lukeg) 2025-05-08 19:00:55 UTC
I am going to mark this as resolved - invalid. It is not needed since Bug 38010 as pushed to 25.05.
