I like this idea for consortiums with different hold limits. If the hold is suspended than it should not count towards the hold limits. One concern I have is, if the patron places a hold it is active until they suspend it. So they would run into the hold limit before having a chance to suspend it. I still think this is a good idea though, for patrons who like to use their holds as a TBR they are likely to have the majority of their holds suspended and therefore would not be running into limits very often. |
