Description Nicole C. Engard 2012-04-23 21:29:54 UTC
It would be very helpful if we could add a 'send me a test' button on the notices page. This way after you edit a notice template you could generate a notice and have it sent to you (the user who's logged in) so that you could see what it will look like.

Apparently we were reporting it at the same time ...

*** This bug has been marked as a duplicate of bug 8000 ***
Comment 2 Chris Cormack 2012-04-24 01:36:22 UTC
Is this really a duplicate, I dont think so, bug 8000 is a switch that makes ALL notices go to the library admin address, regardless of where they are supposed to go. That wouldn't be useful for just testing a new notice.
More for your staging server, or testing before go live etc.

This one is to send a one off test notice right?

Yeah, you're right. I just figured that as long as there was a way to have the test sent I'd be happy :) But we can keep this one open too because they are slightly different.

I think the problem is getting the test data for your test notice. we have a preview now for CHECKOUT/CHECKIN now, but it requires you to enter numbers of existing items and patrons - and it won't send an actual email.
