---- Reported by nengard@gmail.com 2008-02-25 16:13:19 ---- It would be great if the patron who requested the book is automatically put on the hold list for the book so that they can be the first to receive the book they requested - it also means that they know when the book has arrived. Read enhancement request 1886 for example of this. --- Bug imported by chris@bigballofwax.co.nz 2010-05-21 00:35 UTC --- This bug was previously known as _bug_ 1887 at http://bugs.koha.org/cgi-bin/bugzilla3/show_bug.cgi?id=1887 Actual time not defined. I think it would be nice to add a hold option to the suggestion form in OPAC. Let the patron decide, if he wants to get the book once it has been acquired.
Updating bug - placing a hold for the suggesting patron is not possible in 3.4 and not in the queue for 3.6. (16:23:08) kf: wizzyrea: what about a checkbox 'place a hold for me on this suggeston'? (16:23:18) kf: in the suggestion form? in opac especially (16:23:28) wizzyrea: that is another great idea (16:23:36) wizzyrea: or "if this item is acquired, place a hold" (16:23:41) wizzyrea: but you'd have to be using acquisitions (16:23:54) wizzyrea: or have a way to link the suggestion to an eventual bib outside of acquisitions
This seems like a good idea to me and would solve the disconnect between suggestion and hold.
Automatic holds for suggestions would make our patrons very happy. We use staged files to import our orders so we would need a connection between acquisitions and suggestions (similar to request in bug #19538)
That should have been bug #19358
