1 - Build a matching tool between purchase suggestions and staged files for Koha using standard fields 1a - Allow for defining fields to match (ISBN -> 020 ) etc. 1b - Add the biblionumber to the request 2 - Build a search tool for suggestions to allow linking multiple suggestions to a staged file 2a - This will be a popup window and allow for multiple suggestions selected to link to the biblio 3 - When an item is received on the linked biblio the receiving process will check for linked suggestions and notify the user(s) using a defined template
This would be a great feature for libraries that get order records from an outside vendor. Current functionality only allows staff to attach a suggestion from the purchases suggestions and not directly from a staged file.
Creating a connection between purchase suggestions and staged files would be a real timesaver. We’d like it to go one step further. Instead of just notifying the patron we would like for it to automatically place a hold on the item so the patron is the first user to get the item.

This function would greatly enhance our patron's experience when placing purchase suggestions. I agree with Barbara that adding the function of placing the item on hold for the patron suggesting the item would be very popular with our community. We currently don't have the staff time to manually make the notifications and holds.
This would be very helpful, both for holds and for tracking turnover rate for items purchased.
+1
This would be a great help for the Acquisition side of things. Would be very interested to see what happens with this project.
Bug 28844 ("Suggestion from existing title can alert patron in error") tried that already. Just linking the bug together.
