Description Andrew Fuerste-Henry 2019-12-05 14:05:01 UTC
To test:
- Creste an authority with values in the 150$a, 150$z, and 150$v
- In your authority, order the subfields $a, $z, $v
- Create a new bib in the basic cataloging interface
- manually link your bib to your authority
- note that the bib reorders the subfields to $a, $v, $z

Tested on 18.11 and master.
Advanced editor doesn't do this.

This bug still exists in 21.11

My example:

1. Edit a bib in the advanced editor.
2. Select an authority for look-up and fail to find authority
3. Click on create new authority
4. Fill in form fields with order $a, $x, $z, $x, $y
5. Save

The authority links as it should but the fields are now reordered $a, $x, $x, $z, $y. The authority record fields should not be reordered.

Looking up the newly created authority using the authority tool outside of the bib editor shows the original order as originally created. There is something about linking that is causing the reordering of the fields.

I believe this is a duplicate to bug 22666 that hasn't been backported yet. Could you please check in 22.11?
