Description Donna 2021-03-19 16:26:21 UTC
With Patron Clubs, there is not a way to add a group/list/multiple patrons to a club. Patrons have to be added individually.

It would be helpful to be able to a list of patrons to a club, and be able to add patrons to a club from a patron search.

It is extremely tedious to add patrons to clubs right now. You have to pull up their account, click the clubs tab, then click Enroll, then click Finish Enrollment for each individual club.

We're using this feature at a larger scale, where a patron might belong to 30 or 40 clubs so setting up each patron's enrollments is very time consuming.

I agree that a way to bulk add many patrons to a club or clubs is desperately needed.

Maybe a tool where you could enter your list of borrowernumbers or cardnumbers, then on the next page choose from a list of all available clubs with checkboxes. That way you could add each individual patron to multiple clubs at once, or add multiple patrons to a club or multiple clubs at once.

I was recently looking at the Patron Clubs and Patron Lists features. I would have prefered to use the Clubs feature, but lack of bulk enrollment forced me to use the Lists feature instead.
I found the way Patron Lists handles adding multiple patrons to a list to be excellent, and suggest using that as a model for adding bulk enrollment to the Clubs feature. It allows searching for a patron from the List details, and can present a text box for entering either patron cardnumbers or patron id's, which would then be added. This would fulfill most of the requested functionality.
