Description Lisette Scheer 2023-05-05 22:34:20 UTC
Some partners would like the ability to mark items as lost from the checkout screen without having to open each item's record.

Possibly from the screen directly, or adding an export to barcode file that could then be used in batch modification tool.

Hi Lisette, did you see ExportCircHistory? It allows to export MARC, but also adds an entry to export "Today's checked in barcodes" to the More menu.

Not quite what we want, but maybe it would be possible to extend it to allow for a barcode file as an additional export option.

Yes, I looked into it, but some libraries want to leave the item on the account rather than checking them in.

Maybe I didn't explain my thought well. The export feature provides an additional column with checkboxes to the checkouts table, so you can select the items you want. Then you can choose an export format at the bottom of the table (currently MARC with/without items and user defined ones from CSV profiles. I was suggesting to add another option there to give you a barcode list.
It feels like we would be almost there that way.
