It looks like there are still ongoing problems with emails being sent - with Wiki account requests and password resets. I have a couple of issues to resolve (when it is sorted out) - account requests in the queue and recent registrations. If this could be look at, that would be great!
Emails to my email address from Koha General list stopped after Fri 18 Aug 2023 and caught up on Tue 29 Aug 2023.
We haven't verified yet if the mailing list and wiki issue were the same, as both applications are run by different people, it could have a different source.
(In reply to Katrin Fischer from comment #2) > We haven't verified yet if the mailing list and wiki issue were the same, as > both applications are run by different people, it could have a different > source. The General Koha Mailing List issue is different from the Wiki email issue - Tomás is looking at this one (the Wiki emails).
Hi all. I asked Theke's sysadmin to take a look. What's really happening here, is that the server we are using is on some IP block that is added to a deny-list very often. At Theke, we don't have an alternative SMTP, so if anyone is willing to provide one, either me or thd can set it on the wiki configuration.
See discussion on IRC - from around: https://irc.koha-community.org/koha/2023-09-13#i_2507576 I emailed the two BibLibre staff I reset the passwords for - they did not receive any emails (SPAM folders checked, even after one or two days).
Is it safe to moderate account requests again or are the emails still not sent?
(In reply to Katrin Fischer from comment #6) > Is it safe to moderate account requests again or are the emails still not > sent? I think everything is working now. It looks like confirmation emails are going out, as requesters confirmations are showing up. I have about 3 or 4 older requests to sort out, but for all future ones I think we are good!
I filed bug 35699 before finding this one. I have reports again of the emails not arriving (neither password reset nor account registrations).
*** Bug 35699 has been marked as a duplicate of this bug. ***
As discussed on IRC today: I'm trying to get into the wiki to make some edits, but I can't (re)set my passwords, since no e-mails are arriving (I checked the spam folder of course).
hi, if it an SMTP blacklisting problem, we (HKS3/koha-support.eu) would be happy to sponsor a proper/professional SMTP mail sending provider, please just get in touch for it
Hi Mark, my previous comment was worded completely wrong (still tired). Would you be fine with the community using that smtp-server for the mailing lists as well? We'd set it up during our migration to discourse. We can talk about it soon if you're interested.
yes you could use ist for whatever koha purpose what is the hourly/weekly/monthly mail volume?
When I asked joubu last year, his estimation was around 100 topics/replies per month. But we want this to increase with the migration.
Weblate is sending 50-200 emails per day.
This is fixed.
(In reply to Jonathan Druart from comment #17) > This is fixed. Mark and others, could you test and confirm please?
I am receiving emails!
(In reply to Mark Hofstetter from comment #19) > I am receiving emails! Awesome :)
