It would be nice for a feature to exist in Koha to allow libraries to enter barcodes into the Label Creator to print out, however, these barcodes currently do not exist in Koha.
I think we have this with the print barcode range feature?

Yes, this would work in the barcode range choice, but the library would have to enter the barcode twice each time, as it requires a 'range'.

Maybe we could adjust the bug description. Are you thinking about something like an input box where the barcodes could be entered/scanned? Maybe single or multiple outside a range?

Katrin, Thanks I have updated the title of the bug. Yes the purpose would be more the ability to print a single barcode or multiple (random not in a batch) barcodes within Koha.
Would this feature be just a simple generic barcode printer? Or would this be in conjunction with an existing bib record? I guess I'm wondering how this feature is relevant to Koha as there are a number of other ways to print random barcodes.
Very true! One could create a new process to print labels outside of Koha. However, since a library has created a label template and layout in Koha to print labels- allowing the possibility to do this from Koha would be a time saver!
I'm looking for a use case or three. Maybe there are library holdings which are not cataloged, but need a formal label of some sort? Should this new feature allow entry of data other than the barcode to be printed on the resulting label? And/or ...
