Description Emily Lamancusa 2024-01-09 21:14:36 UTC
Bug 27992 added alerts for many item statuses when a local use is recorded with a statistical patron - which is a great quality of life improvement!

It would be great if an alert were added when the scanned item has an active transfer. Ideally, Koha would handle the transfer and display a modal as in a normal check-in, but at the very least it should display an alert informing the staff member that the item is in transit and needs to be checked in.

This is particularly important if the item's physical transfer has gone awry somehow: currently, if an item is in-transit from Library A to Library B, and is scanned to a statistical patron at Library C for some reason, it would show as in-transit from A to B, but with a current location of C, which doesn't make much sense.
