With the passing of the bug https://bugs.koha-community.org/bugzilla3/show_bug.cgi?id=27595, holds can now be placed on purchase suggestions, however, this only applies to purchase suggestions that are ordered through Acquisitions. It would be nice if this process could work without using the Acquisitions Module.
This would be a great time saver. Patrons often ask for things that are already in our catalog or being added soon.
Yes, it takes a lot of effort to manually note and create every request for a purchase suggestion. This would help a lot!
It would be great even if a notice appeared and said something like, "This title is a suggestion, would you like to place a hold for the suggester?" A similar notice appears when adding a suggestion that shares a title with something in our collection, so it should be reasonable to extend that convenience a little more. Suggestions pass through a lot of hands in our library and it's easy to lose track of them somewhere along the way.
