Description Andrew Fuerste-Henry 2025-10-31 13:40:32 UTC
To recreate:
- grant a user top-level cataloging permission (editcatalogue)
- log in as your user and go to /cgi-bin/koha/cataloguing/cataloging-home.pl
- confirm you can only access Fast Cataloging, New Record, and New From z39.50/SRU
Comment 1 Andrew Fuerste-Henry 2025-10-31 13:59:32 UTC
Renaming and downgrading to Normal, could maybe even be called an Enhancement.

All of those other buttons are controlled by Tools permissions as they all used to be on the Tools page. It would make sense to me to move those permissions to be under Cataloging.

The more I think about it, the more I believe that we should not do this, and therefore change the status to "In discussion"
It makes sense that batch tools are not part of the cataloguing permissions.
These are powerful tools for advanced users, I don't think we can "just migrate" them into the existing module permission
