It would be nice if Koha included recommended dimensions for book cover images in all the places where a cover image can be uploaded. The Koha manual seems to indicated uploaded images will be processed into 140 x 200 or 600 x 800, but it's not really clear if these are recommended dimensions to begin with. Anytime images are processed, images can be distorted if the original image does not have the correct aspect ratio. It would also help the appearance of the cover images when displayed in the catalog to be more consistent. So perhaps a two-part bug: What are the recommended dimensions? Add the recommended dimensions to the upload pages: 1. Bibliographic detail, images tab and upload screen. 2. Add to Tools > Upload?
Happy to update the manual if we can get some consensus on what the recommended sizes are (and that match up with how Koha actually works). I'm also not sure whether this also has some interaction with the display of cover images from other sources, such as Amazon or Coce.

I was speaking generally. I also wrote this bug before I learned Koha processed the images by percentage rather than the forced dimensions mentioned in the manual.
