It would be nice for libraries to be able to name their OverDrive collections, since "OverDrive" may not be the identifying term they use for that collection. In our case our contract with OverDrive is through a consortium, so our patrons know the collection by the consortium name. Instead of seeing "OverDrive search for 'mystery'" patrons could see "Ohio eBook Project search for 'mystery'."
The problem with a pref would be translatability as you can only have one name for it. I am not sure how to best deal with this. We've had similar bugs reported for renaming course reserves and cart.
Do we have the same problem with the LibraryName preference?
Hm, we probably have. It might not have come up so far, as a name might be used in different languages and not be translated? But I know some instutions have an official English name here too and for some we even switch the logo with language change.
Perhaps this is a job for translatable authorized values (Bug 20307) or database translations (Bug 24975)?
(In reply to Owen Leonard from comment #4) > Perhaps this is a job for translatable authorized values (Bug 20307) or > database translations (Bug 24975)? Yes, I'd say so. We are just not quite there yet.

Would be using the HTML customizations be an option here now?
