I have a library running 18.05 that uses autmatic renewals for loans to other libraries. Now those libraries are getting an email about every renewal, even if that is not the desired thing. "RenewalSendNotice" is set to "[Don't send] a renewal notice according to patron checkout alert preferences." Not sure if this is relevant for automatic renewals? (As far as I can see, there is no "patron checkout alert preferences" related to renewals.) The cron-job automatic_renewals.pl is run in the standard way, without the --send-notices option. Still, emails are generated and sent every time the script runs. Anyone else experiencing this?
Hi Magnuse, not sure I understand yet - is the problem that the email is sent out at all or that it is sent out when it shouldn't be? I think to deactivate you'd just delete the notice.

Yeah, with the current settings I would expect no messages to be sent. > I think to deactivate you'd just delete the notice. We can try that.
Closing this due to age since the automatic renewals have had a lot of changes over the past couple years
