---- Reported by ricmarques@spamcop.net 2008-05-30 09:39:08 ---- Running Koha 3 (snapshot version) from 28-May-2008. The Koha database version is 3.00.00.086. I'm running Koha in an Xen Virtual Machine running openSUSE 10.3, Apache 2.2.4 and MySQL 5.0.45 I'm using UNIMARC. I have disabled Zebra, by: 1 - When running "perl Makefile.PL" from this development snapshot, I have answered "no" to the question "Install the Zebra configuration files?" 2 - Running the Koha Web Installer and selecting "NoZebra" as the indexing engine in "Step 3" (and selecting "Unimarc" as the MARC flavour). The Koha Web Installer language chosen was "en" (English). The problem detected was that catalog searches only worked for "keyword" searches. Searches in other fields always returned "no results found" (e.g: searches in "Title" or "Author" always returned zero results). I have posted this problem in the Koha Mailing List: [Koha] Catalog searches working with Keyword search but not with Title and Author in Koha 3 http://lists.katipo.co.nz/public/koha/2008-May/014057.html In 30th May 2008, I entered the #koha IRC channel. Paul Poulain (paul), Galen Charlton (gmcharlt) and Henri-Damien Laurent (hdl) helped working through this problem and have identified it as being caused by the "NoZebraIndexes" system preference being set with MARC21 values for UNIMARC installations. The problem happens, at least, for installations when the selected language was "en" (English). It may (or not) happen for other languages, too. ---- Additional Comments From jmf@liblime.com 2008-07-08 18:12:29 ---- Fixing this will require a refactoring of the install procedure, and as such, won't make it into 3.0. It's easy enough to fix manually, so hopefully won't be too hard to overcome. I'm bumping it up to rel_3_2 as it should be fixed in that version. ---- Additional Comments From jay@zidea.com 2009-01-21 09:51:57 ---- Ricardo, Do you have the proper values for NoZebraIndexes and UNIMARC? I'm not finding those ---- Additional Comments From ricmarques@spamcop.net 2009-01-24 15:45:28 ---- Hi Jay, In comment #2, Jay Farschman asked the following question: > Ricardo, > > Do you have the proper values for NoZebraIndexes and UNIMARC? I'm not > finding those Right, that information is not very easy to find. There's an "UNIMARC NoZebraIndexes sample" in the following page: Upgrading from Koha 2.2 to Koha 3.0 [Koha Developer Wiki] http://wiki.koha.org/doku.php?id=22_to_30 The direct link, in that page, to the relevant "anchor" is: http://wiki.koha.org/doku.php?id=22_to_30#unimarc_nozebraindexes_sample My "NoZebraIndexes" is a bit different from that sample, particularly for the 'itemtype' field (instead of only having '200b', I have '200b,990c,995r'). I hope this helps. --- Bug imported by chris@bigballofwax.co.nz 2010-05-21 00:47 UTC --- This bug was previously known as _bug_ 2178 at http://bugs.koha.org/cgi-bin/bugzilla3/show_bug.cgi?id=2178 Actual time not defined.
