Description Chris Cormack 2010-05-21 00:51:05 UTC

---- Reported by dabenavidesd@yahoo.es 2008-07-30 10:48:10 ----

The output in the shell when doing the steps of Koha 3, 3.00.00-stableRC1, step 7.

sudo a2ensite koha && /etc/init.d/apache2 reload
This site is already enabled!
apache2: Syntax error on line 298 of /etc/apache2/apache2.conf: Syntax error on line 22 of /etc/apache2/sites-enabled/koha: Expected </cql2rpn>/etc/koha/zebradb/pqf.properties</cql2rpn> but saw </server>
open: Permission denied
   ...fail!

For me it seems the comments are getting understood by the apache2 like actual code.

Please double-check the steps you took. Based on the error message, it looks like you symlinked koha-conf.xml to /etc/apache2/sites-available/koha. You should linked koha-httpd.conf, e.g.:

sudo ln -s /etc/koha/koha-httpd.conf /etc/apache2/sites-available/koha

koha-conf.xml is the Koha/Zebra configuration file, while koha-httpd.conf is the Apache config for the Koha virtual hosts.

Hi Dear Galen:
you're rigth I have made a mistake with the ln -s step, I removed and typed again ln -s with the correct file and now it doesn't throw failure messages about the file
Thanks
