---- Reported by tajoli@cilea.it 2009-05-25 13:48:48 ---- If you install Koha with the 'dev' option, you can't select the value of $KOHA_USER and KOHA_GROUP variables. The installer force you to use the values 'koha', 'koha'. In fact is not a big bug, if you use a different user/group name you need only to correct by hand 2 lines of the scripts misc/bin/koha-zebraqueue-ctl.sh misc/bin/koha-pazpar2-ctl.sh misc/bin/koha-zebra-ctl.sh I send a patch about it that is only a warning during installation. I think that 'dev' option is for few user, that they are more expert of average. ---- Additional Comments From gmcharlt@gmail.com 2009-05-26 13:47:55 ---- For the dev and single installation modes, I think it would be better to have the default user and group come from the current login, and have the 'koha' default be for the standard mode installation. ---- Additional Comments From tajoli@cilea.it 2009-05-26 15:44:55 ---- In fact the patch that I have send to patches@koha.org changes only a text section of Makefile.PL. It is only a minimal work. So do I need to discard the patch ? I can't write a patch about this bug for the release of 3.0.2 So I can try to fix it for 3.0.3 ---- Additional Comments From tajoli@cilea.it 2010-02-10 09:51:41 ---- The link to the patch is: http://lists.koha.org/pipermail/koha-patches/2009-May/003448.html --- Bug imported by chris@bigballofwax.co.nz 2010-05-21 01:08 UTC --- This bug was previously known as _bug_ 3255 at http://bugs.koha.org/cgi-bin/bugzilla3/show_bug.cgi?id=3255 Actual time not defined. Setting to 0.0
I set this to resolved-wontwix assuming that it is obsolete/ not valid for recent versions of Koha. Feel free to reopen if this assumption is incorrect.
