Description Chris Cormack 2010-05-21 01:10:21 UTC

---- Reported by bchurch@ptfs.com 2009-07-16 16:59:56 ----

It would help to have a diacritic entry tool for libraries which need to catalogue foreign language materials. Unless you know the short-cut keys for the diacritic characters or have a bilingual keyboard, it's difficult to enter characters with diacritics.

This sounds like something which should be handled at the OS level, not within Koha. How would you choose which set of characters to display?

Maybe another option would be to adapt the code for the OPAC screen keyboard (http://wiki.koha-community.org/wiki/How_to_add_an_OPAC_screen_keyboard) for the intranet. I think it should be possible to add it to the navigation on top of the cataloguing module.
