---- Reported by bchurch@ptfs.com 2009-08-04 21:25:05 ---- For those libraries with patron categories based on age, it would help to have these codes automatically changed based on the patron's birth date. The patron category code has the minimum and maximum age. However, it's missing a field where the library can enter the "rollover" code which needs to be entered in the patron record once the patron has exceeded the maximum age for his/her current category. ---- Additional Comments From joe.atzberger@liblime.com 2009-08-04 21:37:26 ---- You would still need a cronjob, much different than the old hardcoded j2a script. This enhancement would be less necessary if robust batch editing were available. ---- Additional Comments From bchurch@ptfs.com 2009-08-04 21:46:06 ---- I like the idea of batch editing of patron records. However, many libraries would prefer to have the system automatically update patron codes as this would be one less thing a staff member has to remember to do. --- Bug imported by chris@bigballofwax.co.nz 2010-05-21 01:11 UTC --- This bug was previously known as _bug_ 3503 at http://bugs.koha.org/cgi-bin/bugzilla3/show_bug.cgi?id=3503 Actual time not defined. Koha 3.10 offers a batch edit tool for patron records and the cronjob to update patrons has been rewritten by Liz a while ago. Marking this resolved fixed.
Can you give me that cron job info so I can put it in the manual?
See bug 7157 or ask Liz :)
