Items that are reserved should be shown to users as not available, else the user can search for it, but couldn't find it in the shelves.

Yes, it seems to be the same, but show the item as "on loan", not on hold...

Shows as 'on hold' rather than 'on loan', but the end product is the same; The borrower knows it's not on the shelf and won't go looking for it be accident.
