Description Nicole C. Engard 2010-10-04 19:13:47 UTC
You don't have to enter a vendor, but you do have to enter when your subscription starts and ends each year - and then you have to renew each one annually as well. This shouldn't be required if you're not using vendors in Koha's serials module.

I agree. I would like to do away with the subscription expiration date and the published on information.

Somehow a few of my serials were added either when a subscription expiration date was not necessary (or I figured out, briefly, how to get away with not adding one) and I wish I could get my other subscriptions to do the same.

I would also like to be able to fill in the following fields in the subscription (one time) rather than fill them in for each and every item: Collection code, Source of acquisition, and Shelving control no.

This is still a valid bug. Adding this subscription expiration date (and even the subscription length) as required, is very limiting to libraries who are not concerned with this value but need to fill it out.
