Screenshot of proposed page display

Currently, after submitting a set of barcodes or item numbers the user is presented with a large table showing all the fields in the item record. This table stretches off the page and requires tedious scrolling.

I propose a modification so that the user can select which columns appear in that table. That way the user can choose to show only the columns which are relevant. Table columns would be hidden with javascript and the choices would be stored in a cookie so the page would remember the user's choices from session to session.

Proposed fix

Also adds title/author information to output of batch deletions.

Unfortunately this feature doesn't work in IE (tested with version 8) so the column selections are hidden from that browser.

checkboxes on FF on Mac

It works, but does not look like the screenshot when in FF on Mac. In fact it looks very mess on my screen and pretty in the original screenshot.

Did you shift-reload to make sure your browser wasn't using a cached stylesheet?
