When you search all "Default" authority headings, using a MARC21 marcflavour, you get the following results: STAFF CLIENT: 1) A list of authority headings with NO mention of authtype/authtypetext in the summary OPAC: 1) A list of authority headings with NO mention of authtype/authtypetext in the summary 2) However, each heading result includes a column labelled "Type of heading", which DOES include the authtypetext for that heading's authtype. -- When you search all "Topical Terms" (for example), you get the following results: STAFF CLIENT: 1) A list of authority headings WITH a "Topical term:" label at the beginning of the summary OPAC: 1) A list of authority headings WITH a "Topical term:" label at the beginning of the summary, AND 2) Also a column labelled "Type of heading", which duplicates this same "Topical term" label. ----- It seems to me that the current behaviour is completely backwards. The authtypetext should be showing when a search is made for "Default", so that all the headings that show up are differentiated by their differing authtypes. The authtype text does not need to appear when a search is made for that specific authtype, because it's already implied that the heading results will correspond to that specific authtype (e.g. TOPIC_TERM). Additionally, having the authtypetext appear in the Summary and the "Type of heading" column in the OPAC is redundant. Personally, I think it would be best to remove the authtypetext from the Summary, and add a "Type of heading" to the Staff Client Authority search results.
I think that this is actually no longer relevant.
