Katrin: write an example, dump the letters table and attach it here. I will add it to the web installer (well if you want to add it directly = installer/data/mysql/en/optional/sample_letters.sql, and add a sample_letters.txt) During web install, the installer will automatically propose to add the letter Same thing for all letter, feel free to propose many ! oups... just realised there is already something in english, in mandatory/sample_notices.sql strange as it's not mandatory at all, it's just very handy ;-) Hi Paul, I had filed this bug in hope some native speaker has a letter in use that we could add as example. The only claim letter I see in master is for acquisitions, not for serials: ('claimacquisition','ACQCLAIM','Acquisition Claim','Item Not Received','<<aqbooksellers.name>>\r\n<<aqbooksellers.address1>>\r\n<<aqbooksellers.address2>>\r\n<<aqbooksellers.address3>>\r\n<<aqbooksellers.address4>>\r\n<<aqbooksellers.phone>>\r\n\r\nOrdernumber <<aqorders.ordernumber>> (<<aqorders.title>>) (<<aqorders.quantity>> ordered) ($<<aqorders.listprice>> each) has not been received.'), I think it's ok to have the letters in the mandatory folder because some letters require to be added with a specific code, like 'HOLD' or 'HOLD_PRINT'. Having the functionality working from the beginning with a letter to change is not only convenient but saves a lot of trouble and reading documentation. Issue still here in 16.05 Reassigning to default Here the the notice I created a few months ago for test. It's in french and not not pretty...
Madame, Monsieur,

Bien cordialement,

<<branches.branchname>>

<<branches.branchaddress1>>
(In reply to Séverine Queune from comment #5) > Here the the notice I created a few months ago for test. > It's in french and not not pretty... > >
Madame, Monsieur,
>

>

>

>
Bien cordialement,
>

>
<<branches.branchname>>
>
<<branches.branchaddress1>>
One of my problem with this notice is 'ISSN' which is always empty, even when biblioitems.issn field is not in the database. I think the problem is bug 15971, which we should fix. Serial claims without ISSN are a little silly... Hello, What information should this notice contain? We will work on this at the Catalyst Academy. Thanks Aleisha Hi Aleisha, usually you'd claim one or more serials. I think the notice should contain information from the bibliographic record and information about the issue that is claimed. Maybe something like that: Title - ISSN Issue information Title - ISSN Issue information ... The issue information is in the serial table I believe (issue 1, vol 12 2015 or similar). The text should be a polite asking for sending the issues that have been found to be late or missing. Does this help? (And now that I saw it, the info in the French exampe looks good :) : <<biblio.title>> - ISSN: <<biblioitems.issn>> <<serial.serialseq>>, published <<serial.publisheddate>> Very helpful, thank you Katrin! |
