Description Mathieu Saby 2013-05-21 08:16:45 UTC
In manage-marc-import.pl, we should have the ability to sort and filter batch of records by date, and status (staged, imported, cleared...)

Dynamic search
Comment 3 Alexandre 2017-04-05 14:14:14 UTC
Hi,

Some staff users have difficulty too to find their staged MARC records when they have a big quantity loaded into their system.

Path :
1) Go to "Tools" module
2) Go to "Staged MARC record management"
3) Observe that no research option are present in the board (no filter, no advanced search)

A space for a dynamic search like the one for the board in the acquisition module will be great. Or at least, up and down arrows in each title on the upper line will be good too.

Thanks for helping,

Alexandre from CCSR

It would be really helfpul to add seach filtes to the table with the imported records so you could quickly find a specific example record in a batch. At the moment you have to sort the title alphabetically and then page through it.

And being able to sort largest to smallest batch would help in the Clean and the Delete action now that the page redraws so quickly. Until 22.11 a 'skilled clicker' could toggle a whole page of batches to do a clean-all, and then repeat the toggle action and do a delete-all action. But now the page redraw is so quick we are forced back to page 1 after one click on Clean or on Delete. Keeping the reservoir 'tidy' is now not really feasible by a manual process so we will add the batch deletion to the cleanup_database.pl script.

+1

It would be really nice if the table is sortable. It would also be really nice to have a search box so a specific batch number can be entered and brought right up.

Can the columns be sortable by the terms at the top- File, Profile, Comments, Staged (for date), and Status?

Can there be a search box function so we can search by file name? Or the start of the file name? Or some portion, not including the .mrc?

Can there be a way to search by the first 2 letters of the library code that is in the Comments to limit by the library, like you have in Acquisitions - Manage orders - Vendor:?
