Description Eugene Espinoza 2014-01-11 04:10:52 UTC
If I add/customize display through modifying xslt, can I make xslts that would only be applicable to a particular framework. For example, in a certain framework, I want general notes to not show in title notes(opac)/description(intranet) but instead shown below say Publisher details area. This was first posted in Koha-general http://koha.1045719.n5.nabble.com/koha-xslt-and-framework-td5783402.html#a5783566

Hi Eugene,

This isn't really the forum for your question, so I am closing this bug. The answer to your question is that XSLTs are not currently per framework. With this knowledge, you may want to open a new bug requesting that feature.

Hope this helps,

Liz

I think we could try to clarify the title and description a bit and keep this bug open. I am trying to :)

As posted in the koha-community list to which Galen Charlton replied, it can be possible. Where to put the settings is probably in framework editing where one can assign xslt for a particular framework. This since the feature enhancement asked is to let a user choose an xslt for MARC frameworks.

Do we still want this?
Comment 5 Eugene Espinoza 2019-04-11 05:21:23 UTC
Yeah certainly Liz! Galen Charlton's reply in the forum is this:
"..it would be simple to adjust C4::XSLT::XSLTParse4Display() so
that it could make the framework code available to the stylesheet,
which it turn would allow one to write conditional logic."
This bug is five years ago and I can't recall the use case for this, I will reply to this once I recall the use case.

Adding Alex - I've heard rumors there might be some code for this :)
