Description Patrick Robitaille 2018-05-08 18:48:10 UTC
Hi,

when we have a record who have no items, it would be great to displays the note tab first instead of holdings. It would be useful for the records of electronic resources who don't have items. Having the notes tab put forward would avoid one more click for relevant information. It could be a system preference like opacSerialDefaultTab but for the records without items.

Thanks, Patrick.

Alternatively, would it be possible to switch off the Holdings tab completely or at least hide the number in parenthesis in records that don't have items?
Users look at the Holdings(0) and think we don't have it, when in fact it's online, or a component of a larger item.

I like both ideas, not sure if Elaine's suggestion would need to be a system preference. Removing the (0) would also be interesting for libraries using AlternateHoldingsField.
