---- Reported by nengard@gmail.com 2008-05-09 07:46:04 ---- You'll have to see my screenshots, but with Amazon content turned on the descriptions coming from the catalog get long. Along with that, it's hard to tell where the different descriptions are coming from. In my screenshots, it's the 520, 522, and 586. Maybe we can put bold labels on each 5xx that comes from the catalog so that we know what each is. So for 586 it could say Awards: or something like that. ---- Additional Comments From nengard@gmail.com 2008-05-09 07:46:24 ---- Created an attachment opac view ---- Additional Comments From nengard@gmail.com 2008-05-09 07:46:45 ---- Created an attachment cataloging view ---- Additional Comments From oleonard@myacpl.org 2008-05-22 08:59:38 ---- I'm open to the idea of adding labels to help the readability issue, but I think that pushes this into enhancement territory. ---- Additional Comments From nengard@gmail.com 2009-04-19 18:09:58 ---- Owen, Would you care if I tackled this? ---- Additional Comments From oleonard@myacpl.org 2009-07-03 19:13:23 ---- If you're just looking at the template, there's not way to differentiate between the data from various tags. It's all put together on the back end. The best you can do is label it as coming from the bibliographic record rather than, say, Amazon:
Notes from the bibliographic record:

Notes from the bibliographic record:

I don't know if that's enough of an improvement to make it worth a patch. ---- Additional Comments From nengard@gmail.com 2009-07-04 14:06:40 ---- I agree - not worth a patch to do it the way you're saying - but I think instead it should come out in separate pieces so that each can be labeled - there is a reason for different notes fields and if they aren't labeled it all gets jumbled together and can be very confusing - even to me a cataloger. ---- Additional Comments From adrea@moablibrary.org 2009-07-07 21:11:15 ---- Our library is also not completely happy with the product description/title notes tab in the OPAC. We would like the display to go a step further and clearly state which information is coming from our library and which information is coming from Amazon. Right now it all runs together and information from our library is at the bottom (which can be really far down if there is a lot of content from Amazon). We would suggest something like this... From Grand County Public Library: text... (and we agree labels for the different fields would be nice) From Amazon: more text... --- Bug imported by chris@bigballofwax.co.nz 2010-05-21 00:46 UTC --- This bug was previously known as _bug_ 2096 at http://bugs.koha.org/cgi-bin/bugzilla3/show_bug.cgi?id=2096 Imported an attachment (id=502) Imported an attachment (id=503) Actual time not defined. We can't pull this content from Amazon anymore, but the other fields are still there and unlabeled. So this is still an issue.

Old bug - can we get this moving somehow?
I don't think this bug is valid anymore. If anyone disagrees please re-open and provide more details.
(In reply to Owen Leonard from comment #4) > I don't think this bug is valid anymore. If anyone disagrees please re-open > and provide more details. Hi Owen, I reopen this bug because it's not fixed. As Nicole says in the bug 13428 : "It would be helpful if there were labels on the notes in the title notes tab in the opac. It can be confusing sometimes what the notes you're looking at are when there are a lot of notes (5xx fields)." Do you think that could be fixed with an xslt style sheet? Regards Marjorie
Hi Marjorie, Could you supply a record that clearly demonstrates this problem? Just easier when we can see what you see. :) Cheers, Liz
Looking at any record with a lot of 5xx fields should demonstrate the problem. They are shown in the Descriptions tab, but there is no way to tell from which 5xx they have been pulled.
