Description Fiona Borthwick 2018-06-25 13:50:06 UTC
Currently it is only possible to add a Hold Note at the time of creating the hold. It would be nice if notes could be added at a later stage.

A few of our customers have asked for this.

+1 It would be nice if it could be edited in the OPAC, but also from the staff side.
Comment 2 Lisette Scheer 2018-07-05 21:51:49 UTC
+1 This would be great. We don't allow patrons to add hold notes, but I also think the ability to edit on the OPAC when allowed would be great.

There needs to be a way to edit notes on existing holds. Sometimes you have to modify a hold, or you forget to write a note when you create a hold, and the only way you can add a note at this time is to delete and recreate the hold. This is a lot of work, and original hold dates are lost this way.
Comment 5 Katrin Fischer 2022-09-22 13:07:12 UTC
Would still be a great thing to have. Maybe easier now with the API and other fields being editable?
Comment 6 Jeremy Evans 2023-11-03 14:03:16 UTC
We would also support this. Sometimes we need to add notes to existing holds so staff are aware where to send the book, or to enter the ticket number from our email request system when the user asked for the book.
