Description Kelly McElligott 2019-11-07 15:15:21 UTC
Currently in Koha, when a user chooses to replace an existing record with another record using z39.50, Koha will prepopulate the z39.50 search with Title, Author and ISBN. This search is very constrictive and it would be nice to have the option of what fields get prepopulated instead of having to manually remove the fields that the user doesn't want. Specifically, an ISBN pre-population would be ideal for a library.

It would make our lives so much easier if this had only the ISBN filled in.

Yes, please, this would be very helpful!
Comment 3 Miranda Nero 2025-10-27 13:40:27 UTC
Yes, please! We are often replacing brief records using z39.50 and the information pulled is not formatted in a way that is useful in searching. Being able to control what gets populated would be so helpful, including the option to pre-populate no fields. A "clear all" search terms would be useful as well.
