To recreate: 1. Click to receive an issue. Koha has predicted the Numbered issue to be V.50 N0.3 2. Do not change the enumeration but instead click to either add an item, or change status to arrived. 3. In Item Holdings, change the enumeration from (example Koha predicted: V.50 NO.3), to V. 52 NO. 1 in the 952$h 4. Save this item. Koha will create the new item with the serial enumeration change (VOL. 52 NO.1) BUT also create a issue from the originally forcasted issue (V.50 NO.3). This originally forcasted issue V.50 NO.3 will ONLY appear under the Subscription Tab on the OPAC/Staff Interface, it does not appear in the Serials Module. This originally forecasted issue should not appear as received. Either Koha should not allow the Serial Enumeration to be changed in the Item Holding or reflect those changes in the original issue as to not create two.
Hi Kelly, I think you need to change the serial enumeration first, before you open the item form. This way it will copy the new values to the item created. Or if you change in the item, you need to change it above or the recorded serial too. Does that make sense? Maybe change made in $h should automatically be copied to the issue line above as it works the other way around?
Reading this again it feels like a misunderstanding. Changing the serial enumeration has no effect on the inner counters of the subscription and the prediction of the next issue. The enumeration, if changed, will be copied to the item form, when it's opened. But otherwise the 2 fields are independent from each other. The next issue predicted will be determined by the value in the subscription only.
Katrin, Thank you! I completely understand what you are saying! Thank you!
