Lists are very helpful and useful to staff and patrons. A library would like the ability to have a sort of hierarchy of lists. The ability to add lists to a group of lists (subgroups) and organize by this way. This idea comes from an academic looking to organize by subject, but I can also see this as a branch hierarchical structure or in a public library to do DVDs as a Major List = and then have monthly lists attached to this one major topic. I did see this bug https://bugs.koha-community.org/bugzilla3/show_bug.cgi?id=20512 that would like to see the ability to sort bugs- which would be nice also.
We are also interested in being able to organize lists hierarchically as well, at a public library. At our main branch we have adult, teen, and youth lists, and each of our 5 schools also makes lists. Currently they are in one LONG LIST. And the pull-down menus are a nightmare when trying to find a particular one. I envision something like the reports module, where we can assign a group and a subgroup, maybe even metadata/notes suggested in bug 28795.
We are also a public library and would like to be able to group/categorize lists by kids, tween, teen and adult or even by topics. If patrons could narrow down the lists to view only the groups they are interested in I think it would increase their usage.

+1
We are a public library and would be interested in organizing lists hierarchically as well. We would use it where each branch could maintain readers advisory lists.
