---- Reported by nengard@gmail.com 2008-11-10 05:11:02 ---- If a MARC record has an "n" or "p" subfield in the title, that part DOES show up in the OPAC display. However, they do NOT show in the staff module. This should be made standard and display like the OPAC. The part (p) is necessary to decide WHICH specific volume is needed. Librarians should at the very least see everything that the public sees - and most times the librarians need to see more. ---- Additional Comments From nengard@gmail.com 2008-11-10 11:47:40 ---- [14:43] <owen> Does the OPAC have XSLTDetailsDisplay on? [14:43] <nengard> owen - bah - i know to ask that and I didn't - hang on [14:43] <nengard> wait - I didn't ask cause it was a staff client issue [14:43] <nengard> not the OPAC [14:43] <owen> Right, but you're comparing to the OPAC [14:44] <nengard> k - off to check [14:44] <owen> I think the problem is that n and p subfields are /only/ displaying in the XSL version [14:45] <nengard> owen - yes you are right [14:45] <nengard> XSL is on [14:45] <nengard> both of them [14:45] <nengard> results and details ---- Additional Comments From oleonard@myacpl.org 2008-11-10 12:15:51 ---- I'm reassigning this bug because it's not an issue that can be easily resolved by modifying the template. Any time you want to pull a new field for display in the detail page in the staff client you have to modify the code in catalogue/detail.pl and write a specific routine for pulling out that data in Biblio.pm. The better option is to get XSLT display working in the staff client. I see a collection of xsl files in /koha-tmpl/intranet-tmpl/prog/en/xslt, but they don't seem to be in use. ---- Additional Comments From nengard@gmail.com 2008-12-19 04:57:14 ---- I got this from a client today: "the title displays in BOTH the OPAC and the staff module need to display any of these applicable subfields: 245 a, b, p, n Sometimes there are multiple parts of a title (like episodes of TV shows) that need to display so that we can tell which record goes with the right full title." ---- Additional Comments From jwagner@ptfs.com 2009-05-22 12:43:15 ---- We also want subfield h (Medium) to display in staff mode. ---- Additional Comments From rch@liblime.com 2009-06-11 19:12:11 ---- As Owen suggests, this really needs to be done with XSL, not writing new perl code to pull out new subfields. Marking this as dependent on 2165. ---- Additional Comments From gmcharlt@gmail.com 2009-06-15 17:23:12 ---- Enabling the XSLT bib display option for the staff client has been sponsored. When this is implemented, the default staff bib display stylesheet will include the 245 $n and $p. ---- Additional Comments From kdr@ckls.org 2009-07-22 17:53:44 ---- Is the 245b included in this sponsored enhancement? If not, this still needs to be added, too. It seems they should all be done at one time to remain consistent. ---- Additional Comments From chris@bigballofwax.co.nz 2009-12-17 20:03:53 ---- With the recent work and patches, the staff side now can use XSLT as well. ---- Additional Comments From chris@bigballofwax.co.nz 2009-12-17 20:05:01 ---- Actually while this does work, there is a patch to make it work a little better ---- Additional Comments From chris@bigballofwax.co.nz 2009-12-17 20:08:09 ---- The patch is one by frederic demians which contains MARC21slim2intranetDetail.xsl --- Bug imported by chris@bigballofwax.co.nz 2010-05-21 00:55 UTC --- This bug was previously known as _bug_ 2771 at http://bugs.koha.org/cgi-bin/bugzilla3/show_bug.cgi?id=2771 This bug depended on bug(s) 2165.
