Description Daniel Gaghan 2021-02-17 16:42:30 UTC
Enhancement would add a new option to the print drop down menu on a user's account page. The option would be labeled Print Holds List slip. On the slip would be displayed the user's first initial last name and last four of their library card number (all of this should be modifiable through the notices Notices & slips tool/template toolkit). The slip would then list the item title, material type, pickup library and position that the user is in the hold queue.

Hi Daniel, could you explain a bit how this slip would be used in the library?
Comment 2 Daniel Gaghan 2021-06-07 16:03:22 UTC
The hold list slip would be printed out by a staff member in receipt upon a user's requests for a hardcopy list of items they have on hold and where they are in the current hold queue. We have a number of users who have requested this feature. Currently the only option that comes close to this is the print account summary and this uses a lot of paper for just getting a list of holds and does not give all the information our users require. Our users plan to use the holds list slip to keep track of what they have requested also use it to check against what they currently have on the hold shelf so they do not missing anything. This feature is especially useful for users who do not have internet access.

Our users would appreciate this, particularly display of position in the hold queue.

Hi Kristi and Daniel,

I have good news :) This now works using the custom patron slip feature from 23.11. The bug report even has a bit of an example. See: bug 32986
