Description Nick Clemens (kidclamp) 2022-02-08 19:52:12 UTC
To recreate:
1 - Enable Advanced Cataloging Editor
2 - Edit a record and confirm you are using, or switch to advanced editor
3 - From an existing record Click 'New->New child record'
4 - Fill in required fields and save
5 - Record is not linked to parent

For the enhanced analytical workflow set UseControlNumber to Use and EasyAnalyticalRecords to Don't show.

If using the Basic Editor to add a new child record, the 773 is automatically populated.

If the browser is set to open the Advanced Editor by default, the 773 does not appear and is not populated in the Advanced Editor. Instead the cataloger must enter it all manually.

I think this feature pre-dates the Advanced editor. I agree that it should ideally should also work with the Advanded editor, but it seems more an oversight than a bug.
