"no attempt to encode" (|||) in the language facet doesn't work. Clicking on the facet turns the number in brackets to x but nothing else happens. It should instead return biblios that have "No attempt to encode" (|||) in MARC controlfield 008 character places 35-37."
Steps to reproduce: 1. search for somethingsomething... 2. click on a language facet that has ||| (No attempt to encode) 3. notice that biblios with no attempt to encode as language facet are not returned
I don't understand what this is about, can you provide more details please?
When you do a search in Koha and you get search result which has langauge facet with (|||), you cannot see which biblios has that language code in MARC 008/35-37 when you click the code. Normally when you click any language code, you get those biblios which have that language code.
Is "no attempt to encode" an error you are seeing somewhere?
Created attachment 153109 [details] Language code (|||) If I click the language code (|||) it does nothing. Only the amount (25) turns to (x).
(In reply to Jonathan Druart from comment #4) > Is "no attempt to encode" an error you are seeing somewhere? It's from the MARC standard. If you "don't attempt to encode" the language, you set it to ||| which probably creates a problem when we try searching for it. See here: "No attempt to encode" (|||) in MARC controlfield 008 character places 35-37." https://www.loc.gov/marc/bibliographic/bd008a.html Maybe we should just exclude them from the language facets?
